The Medlight 630 Pain Therapy Device is an over-the-counter, non-invasive, portable, home-use device that emits energy in the Near-IR spectrum. The Medlight 630 Pain Therapy Device can be used for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritis and muscle spasm and relief from stiffness. The Medlight promotes relaxation of muscle tissue and temporarily increases local blood circulation where heat is indicated.
Based on technology developed by NASA, the Medlight was designed to mitigate pain by using light emitting diodes (LED's) that generate infrared (IR) energy in the form of low level, narrow band light and heat in order to deliver a therapeutic heating effect.
